Prevention and Victim Support
Safety is one of the most important basic human needs and also determines our quality of life. This is why daily police work increasingly relies on crime prevention, which not only prevents offences, but also mitigates the fear of crime and damage caused by criminals. Therefore, sustainable prevention is the best victim protection.
The police take care of victims, explain them their rights and provide support and advice. If you fall victim to a crime, you might suffer lasting damage. It is particularly important in such cases that you get reliable and professional help. Furthermore, the police have established connections to a number of institutions that provide psychosocial assistance.
